*#HumanRightsDay2025: A Reminder of the Unfinished Work*
Today is reminder of the sacrifices made during Sharpeville Massacre. Sadly, for millions, poverty continues to erode human rights every day...

On this #GlobalRecyclingDay, we honour the waste collectors who work tirelessly to ensure recycling happens in 🇿🇦. They are the invisible backbone of our #CircularEconomy, collecting, sorting and selling recyclables, often under tough conditions.

Our societies are too enslaved to market logic, and everything risks being subject to self-interest and the quest for profit. Volunteering is prophecy and a sign of hope, because it bears witness to the primacy of gratuitousness, solidarity, and service to those most in need.
The world feels upside down right now. Empathy is fading. Inequality is rising. And yet, women—despite bearing the brunt of it all keep going, keep hoping, keep rebuilding.
Today, we honour their resilience, their courage and their unwavering belief in a better tomorrow.

With the rainy season approaching, it's crucial that waterways stay clear of litter to help prevent flooding & protect the wetlands that surround our community. By keeping our environment clean, we’re safeguarding the health of Diepsloot & contribute to a greener future for all.
In line with our commitment to transformation & utilising the B-BBEE Act, I have approved the Legal Sector Code to accelerate transformation. We believe this is a step in the right direction in building a transformed legal profession and fostering an inclusive economy.

Initially, the study was focused on women-owned businesses overall. However, it emerged that gender is subsumed within the BBBEE legislation that covers race. Thus, the data analysed in the report reflects on black owned women businesses and not women overall.
Thank you to the generous support of our partner, CoCre8 Technology Solutions, who provided blankets to over 150 children in Diepsloot during the chilly winter months.
