Level up your cocktails: to shake or to stir?
Generally, cocktails with fruit juices or ingredients that need to be mixed thoroughly should be shaken, while those with only spirits or delicate flavours are typically stirred.
Did you know that a Vodka Cranberry is also known as a Cape Codder? Originally called the Red Devil, the Vodka Cranberry was invented by Ocean Spray as a way for people to enjoy cranberry juice! In a 1965 New York Times ad the cocktail was rebranded to the Cape Codder. Neat!
Level up your cocktails: make sure to measure your ingredients
Consistency is key to a well-balanced cocktail! Use a jigger or measuring tools to ensure accurate proportions of each ingredient.
Level up your cocktails: If you’re new to making cocktails, keep it simple. You don't need to go overboard buying ingredients, tools, and garnishes to create a tasty drink.
