Session 4 (1 March): Bodies, budgets and things on stage in opera. We will explore how a body or a group of bodies can be restricted by elements of set and costume, while also thinking about the material restrictions and affordances.

Session 3 (22 Feb): Continuity and Discontinuity: History and Musical Timing. In this workshop, we will look at historical and musical joints: we will be drawing on historiography and representations of time throughout history, music theory and comedy.
