This week we celebrated people, power and the purpose of Washington’s PUDs. Thank you to our communities, crews and commissioners for making Public Power possible every day of the year. Here’s to another year of powering Washington, the public power way! #PublicPowerWeek
When the power goes out, PUD line workers are called in. Line workers work in all conditions to restore power safely and quickly. This public power week we say a BIG thank you to the crews who keep Washington connected.
Happy Public Power Week!
This week we celebrate Washington’s Public Utility Districts. Locally owned, not-for-profit utilities that put people and community first. Public Power means reliable, affordable, community-driven service. Here’s to a week of celebrating your PUDs.
Governor Ferguson signed a WPUDA-requested bill enhancing utility investments in local clean energy projects, accelerated conservation, and programs that reduce energy demand under the state's renewable energy standard. This supports grid reliability and local jobs. #publicpower

This week, PUD leaders proudly advocated in Washington, D.C., on key issues affecting PUDs. During the WPUDA Rally, they engaged in meaningful conversations with members of Congress about how policies impact PUD customers and advocated for the best interests of those they serve.
Today, WPUDA hosted our annual Day on the Hill, bringing together public utility leaders, legislators, and everyone who keeps the hill running for a day of connection and conversation.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success!
