@brianlilley Well, this certainly did not age well.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@jonkay Oh, I think this one will survive through Friday…

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@TheMetsX @MLB @Feinsand You’re talking about Soto, right? Right?

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@JamesKello I hear you. So do my now adult twins, who are long-time referees and are coaching a U9G team for two years now. I have not heard from a soul in the refereeing, coaching or playing ranks who thinks this is a good idea. Seriously? No referees for U9-U13 games? Best of luck, soccer!

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@JamesKello @CanadaSoccerEN Increased costs are guaranteed here. Therefore, so are reduced numbers. My twins are coaching a U9 team: Getting the girls to take a shift without a friend can be challenging. Splitting friends up to play separate “games” is going to be another deal breaker, I expect.

@PierreV62811380 @funtomvids @PierrePoilievre A looser what?

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@JamesKello Works for me. Hell, they already changed that line a few years ago.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@mtngirlDRR @acnewsitics Oh fuck off.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@BillAckman Hmm. You sure? It looks like the dead casting their ballots yet again.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@avatarrant Yes, this is aging well. Minus 2 last night. Minus 7 on the year. Minus 17 since 2019-20. Worse than a Winnipeg winter. (It was -10 last night.)

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@LAKings How’s that working out for you?

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@KarenHugs22 @stephen_taylor Umm, no: "The game of basketball as it is known today was created by Dr. James Naismith in December 1891 in Springfield, Mass. to condition young athletes during cold months." Naismith (Canadian by birth) was a PE instructor at YMCA ITS. He lived the rest of his life in the USA.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@kevinlagace @WpgSoccer Thanks. You too!

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

A wonderful opening night for what will be my last Players Tournament. Great management from @WpgSoccer, great refereeing from @kevinlagace, a great opponent in BVSC U17 and a valiant effort from my "blended family" of Sturgeon Heights girls. Well done everyone!

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@JamesKello That’s a common refrain.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@kevinlagace @WpgSoccer And right back at you, Kevin. The game is so much more beautiful when it has an enthusiastic and knowledgeable referee. Thanks on behalf of both teams who played last night.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@robsobs Yes. Adding 100 or so at the Scott Oake centre and the airport reading would make a big change.

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@JamesKello Somebody was at Grant Park last evening? 😉

[Will Purcell @WPurcell666]

@kerkhove_david @iamraisini @elonmusk There's no such thing as corporate greed. Corps are owned by people -- mostly "little" people -- through pensions, mutual funds, etc. Those people expect a minimum rate of return. Are you all saying that pensioners, single parents trying to save a buck for retirement are greedy?
