A few days ago, I watched a group of students stand to take an oath. They were being initiated to a common goal.

To many people, it looked like another induction ceremony.

A few photographs.
A few speeches.
A few handshakes.

But sitting there, I couldn't stop thinking about something bigger.

Almost 100 years ago, antibiotics changed the world. It is the greatest discovery of all times, in my books.

Before then, a minor infection could end a life.

A simple wound could become fatal.

A routine surgery carried risks many of us cannot imagine today.

One scientific discovery changed that story.

Yet here we are in 2026, facing a different challenge.

Not because antibiotics stopped working.

But because we are gradually teaching them not to.

This is the reality of Antimicrobial Resistance.

A slow crisis. A quiet crisis. A deadly crisis.

The fight against AMR will not be won by scientists alone. It will be won by informed communities and consistent advocacy using different tools available at their disposal by people who understand the problem deeply enough to explain it simply.

And by advocates who choose to live the message they preach.

The fight against AMR continues.

At the end of the day, we are all searching for the same thing… a mind that rests, a heart that is settled, and a life that feels accomplished.
