I have been spamming league and streaming for roughly 4 years at this point, and the champion that built my career and brand with new season turned from one of favourities to a champion i do not even consider locking in anymore.
Camille lost her identity already in season 11, after they added divine sunderer and made her really OP on launch riot decided to tune her away from a 1v9 hyperscaling carry with "bad" lane to a junglers PET and her whole existance was just so you nocturne/rengar/hecarim whatever the fuck you have on jg can just get fed off you setting them up with 0 counterplay vs champs you pick camille versus.
Now that divine is gone and old items are back riot introduced new problem, TOP LANE walls.
Camille in s14 basically has 1 laning ability and thats her Q which is glorified 2 auto resets early game, sheen is 1000g (soon 900) not to mention her W and E are basically a joke on lane. You have no option to outplay your opponent anymore u kinda just sit in lane and pray your jg comes so u can get them fed and win the game that way cuz you sure as shit arent 1v1ing a rumble/renekton/riven/fiora etc.
This is not a post crying for buffs, camille is fine with that playstyle if u can counterpick her. But its just not the champ that made me start streaming in the first place since i was just sitting on camillemains discord/reddit non stop cuz of the passion i had for the champion. But in season 14 i cannot even force myself to play her, its not the same even with old items back
Zoomers who discovered what emulation was yesterday have no idea how vital it’s been for the preservation of games.
It’s also depressing how they have no curiosity for anything not an official release. If it’s not available via an app or storefront, it doesn’t exist to them.
Hi everyone I'm BLG Bin. This is my Twitter. Hope you can enjoy to watch my game and interact with me. I will see you in the bracket stage.

Fortnite hit a gold mine by creating a builder shooter which used bloom system, basically randomised spray patterns. Building meant you wouldn't get punished for terrible positioning while bloom ensured even worse players could win duels. Walk this line carefully and you can achieve maximum engagement of the median players aka children. Most games learned from this and started adding mechanics which help newer/worse players get a sense of victory. Market is driven by the average user and that is the reason games like Quake will never be mainstream again as the skill curve is too steep and it shreds it's influx of new players. Most people don't want to get pummeled by a russian who controls the map perfectly timing every pick up and reading your movements. If there isn't a good ratio of feel good moments versus "oh I got destroyed" moments, most people will not stick to learn the mechanics and get better. This realisation has shaped the modern gaming industry from lucrative mobile games, to Overwatch, League of Legends, Call of Duty etc. I believe it will keep moving in this direction more and more while some passionate gems like Souls games shine through. This shift is partially responsible for the success of Souls games as they inherently have that nostalgic feeling. Old, difficult and unexplained games, from gamers to gamers. Back when there was a lack of focus groups and target audiences, when developers made games they felt would be interesting and would challenge them.
For League followers this shift can be pinpointed easily to Season 8, when average champion strength started rapidly increasing. The more work the champion does, the less work is left for the player. A lot of modern league champion pilot themselves when even slightly ahead. Game moved away from macro oriented perfectionist gameplay into a randomized skirmisher/brawler. Anyway that is a long post already but this is quite an interesting topic, hope you found it interesting.
It is unreal that a champion as unskilled as Malphite gets to be as strong as it is right now in the current game. Makes 0 sense to get rewarded so heavily for do nothing impressive.
Just checked on the meta at Season 9 worlds and man there used to be so much more skill expression in the game. Rakan/Thresh/Lee/Jarvan/Elise/GP etc all being played frequently compared to now where you get Wukong/Zeri/Lulu/Vi every fucking game. League has lost its way.
