Exactly! 2% inflation years with occasional 10-20% years results in decades where cash loses buying power by 50% or even 90% depending on the asset class you’re benchmarking against.

There has been no actual long term focus on inflation. All the central banks do is support the expansionary economics of banking led monetary expansion that massively favours financial industry wealth over all others.

They support this industry with bail outs and rug pull the average small business owner.

Their policies also lead to excessive bubbles where the financial industry makes massive profits during speculative trading times, ipo fees, management and performance fees on inflated assets while capital is massively misallocated. Then when the bubble bursts the financial industry gets the bailouts. But, the people who tried to build a career in the bubble industry that was over promoted are told to go back to school and retrain. Huge rug pull by the arrogant over educated bullshit artists
