Basically, it’s clear that Meta and Amazon can (and do) rescind offers at the last minute, paying very little when they do (eg a months’ salary in case of Meta).
So now some of those with options are no longer taking offers at face value without assurances.
Can’t blame them.

@rakyll Jaana the way the cycle goes is rate increases (months), layoffs, months, months of unemployment with at least 1-2 years to play out. Right now housing in the bay is at a standstill while it plays out. Days on market are up, prices down in line with rate increases.
