“Not interested in Geopolitics? Here’s why you should be……”
Wrote a small piece on why it’s important to learn about the world around us.
Have a read, enjoy, criticise, give me some feedback please!

I’m currently writing about whether more men are turning towards emotional affair’s than physical ones and whether digital communications have altered boundaries. If you’d like to talk anonymously, my DM’s are open! #JournoRequest
@barneyronay It was a foul-but what about all the fouls leading up? Trossard pulling Pablo, Rice doing similar, West Ham players doing similar. It was utter carnage
@RobDorsettSky Rob it’s not put anything to bed. It’s caused utter carnage as per your replies. Issue with VAR is that you expect decisions to be correct but comes down to personal perspective. At least before VAR refs would get slack because it was in real time-they can’t be given the same now
Tonight, we celebrate maintaining our @EFL status.
From Monday, the work starts again as we prepare for a better 2026/27 season.
Enjoy your evening, all! ❤️

🚨Major intervention on defence spending by Lord George Robertson, author of govt Strategic Defence Review, tonight
UK’s leaders hv shown ‘corrosive complacency’, putting nation ‘in peril’ while it’s ‘under attack’
PM ‘not willing to make the necessary investment,’ he tells @FT
🚨 NEW: The captain of one of Britain's nuclear submarines has stepped back from his role after being investigated over his relationship with Labour MP Joani Reid, whose husband was arrested on suspicion of spying for China

Unfortunately we are no longer a “football club.”
We’re a sports entertainment business with a football arm, an NFL arm, a concert arm etc.
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club died when White Hart Lane was demolished.
"The fact that Igor Tudor was appointed in the first place on February 14 reflects far worse on Tottenham's decision-makers than his exit on March 29.
"Spurs are just not a serious football club. Well, they’re a serious football club when it comes to aesthetics. Their stunning stadium is one of the finest in Europe, their state-of-the-art training ground is the same, they host NFL matches and some of the world’s most famous musicians and performers, boxing title bouts, rugby matches and so on.
"The club makes a lot of money from all this; in fact, only eight football clubs in the world generate higher revenues than Spurs, according to the Deloitte Money League.
"It’s just a shame that their football team — you know, the reason for their entire existence — is a shambles."

How many frigates and destroyers does the UK have at its disposal?
Defence Secretary John Healey can't seem to tell @NickFerrariLBC with any certainty.
🚨CLASS 466 NETWORKER PRESERVED🚨
In association with Angel Trains, East Kent Railway Trust and the 400 Series Preservation Group, we are delighted to announce the preservation of 466043.
Given it took the UK a week to deploy a single major warship to defend Cyprus, our one operational attack submarine was sent to Australia & the @royalnavy just moved its last crewed minehunter back to the UK from the Gulf for maintenance, the government’s options to help defend shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will be limited.
This is the dangerous reality of decades of defence cuts to our three armed services - and a failure by @DefenceHQ to spend a still substantial defence budget well - playing out in real time while a war is raging.
So many of us have warned of the risk of a hollow force.
It was General Sir Nicholas Houghton, as chief of the defence staff, who first uttered that phrase in public - back in 2013!!!
And yet still no sense today of when (or if) the government will sign off on a new investment plan for the Ministry of Defence.
If billions of additional pounds are not found then ambitions will be curbed and there will have to be more cuts.
That’s the hard truth

Latest reports suggest that a submarine has sunk an Iranian Naval ship off the coast of Sri Lanka. If true, does this signal the move to a more conventional war as opposed to a campaign of air strikes? #Iran#IranWar
Strikes on Iran are ongoing and this seems to be completely different to last years military operation. More energy, more focussed and quicker retaliatory strikes.
I've been working on this for ages in various countries: the story of the intelligence buildup to Putin's 2022 invasion. How did the US and Britain find out so much, and why were Europe and Ukraine sceptical.
It's a long one:
