Grateful to @AlithCyer and the community @WritersWriting2 for the opportunity to share insights and some encouragement on why it's important for young 🇸🇸ese to tell the 🇸🇸 story, build the reading community and use their voices to bring people together during the book launch of Deng Atem 's "Jumping the Ram ".
Glad that convening spaces such as .@SceniusHub continue to encourage this habit that will hopefully become the norm moving forward. Congratulations Deng and we are proud of you Alith and the @WriterwritingF.keep going💯❤️

Launch of “Jumping Over The Ram” by Deng Atem

Story about Survival of a child soldier or red army who journeyed to the US in search of better education, services, and also transitioned to a better life…

[Writers Writing Fellowship @WritersWriting2]

“Jumping Over the Ram” is that story of self-discovery as Deng made his way through those camps, not just in Ethiopia but in South Sudan and Kenya. It is his journey as a child discovering the world and as a boy turning into a man and finding himself.

[Writers Writing Fellowship @WritersWriting2]

During the Fellowship, the Book “America Destroyed Me” and his other writings like Stories of “Kulang Toat” and “Family Tears Apart” were talked about.

[Writers Writing Fellowship @WritersWriting2]

The Writers’ Circle had an Educative Evening with Author Weirial Baluang at Scenius Hub where Writers connected with each other while they explored Creative Writing as a Personal Journey to Self Discovery…..
