An artist turning down a commission due to "conflicting ideals" sucks, but if they are cordial & professional; suck it up & move on with your day. There are plenty of artists who have a "money is money" mentality willing to turn the other cheek to work with you.

Making a crybully post about how it's "calling out the bs" & "face the consequences" says a WHOLE lot more about how you're probably awful to work with anyway * further justifies the artist dodging the bullet. And yes, this applies to BOTH sides, because it's happened the other way around too. Get y'alls shits in check.

Chuds saying this was Nolan pushing the “anti men agenda” entirely missed the point of this scene. She’s not saying that there shouldn’t be a king. She’s saying it’s made her feel crazy that everyone claims the throne has been empty when she’s the one who has been on it running shit while Odysseus is away. It hasn’t been empty, but the suitors don’t see her as a capable ruler including her own son.She’s saying that she has been the one holding things down while waiting for her king to come back, and she’s willing to continue doing so because she believes he’s still out there.

The throne was never empty. Penelope WANTS Odysseus to come back. She isn’t against there being a king on the throne, she’s against there being anyone other than Odysseus on it.

The Odyssey is historically inaccurate. The boats were wrong. The armor was wrong. They didn't use a real live cyclops, they didn't sack the true city of Troy. The men didn't actually turn into pigs. They filmed it in 2020s, not 1200 BCE and IMAX cameras didn't even exist back then. Thats why it's a flop for me

See it’s funny because in the movie they directly say “maybe 500 now” which means she wasn’t scarred like that until after the battle of Troy.
