I love thumbing through a good book, but in this day and age, technology can help us reach a wider audience so efficiently and quickly. So I decided to launch my first Kindle book to complement my paperback.📚 #writing#Kindle#BookBoost

Delighted to be launching my first book - In our shoes tells the struggles of #childhoodcancer and bereavement through poetry, with all profits being donated to children’s cancer charities. https://t.co/1K95LA7lNB
Happy World Poetry Day;I’ll celebrate with a stanza or 2,
To raise a metaphorical glass to the clever things poetry can do.
A shapely expression of language;the form can take so many styles
A quick limerick, varied verse,or perhaps just something to make you smile.#WorldPoetryDay
Mothers Day or Mother’s Day? It’s not often I’ll say this but I’m relaxed about either; when mums (&dads) come in all shapes, sizes and guises, and so often help us keep going when all else around us feels chaotic, somehow it feels quite apt.#MothersDay#apostrophe
The pronunciation of the word ‘queue’ is curiously unchanged when the last four letters are taken away. So what’s the point of the last four letters? #thoughtoftheday#FoodForThought#whilstyouwait
Optimism in the air, whilst some feel easing is too sluggish,
The UK is divided about the lockdown easing recently published. As we’ve seen throughout, it’s a fine tightrope to tred,
Balancing what we’d like like to do with the consequences we all dread. #lockdowneasing
Yesterday was amazing; a palindrome AND ambigram combined as one,
Point in time stunt nuts – 24 hours and then gone.
It seems sometimes that numbers can wow the eye too,
Upside down, forwards, backwards- on every level the same view. #onthisday#AmbigramDay
The juxtaposition of a bright sunny sky with snow on the floor,
The sun with its hats on, Jack Frost still knocking at the door.
A parallel perhaps with society’s fragility of today,
Still loosing too many, whilst a rescuing vaccination programme is well underway. #COVID19
Three cheers for Hope! My invisible very best friend.
To help conquer adversity, on you I depend!
People can’t see you, you live in my mind.
But thanks goodness you’re there, and our lives are entwined.

The double edged sword of snow flakes falling,
The sledging, snowmen and joy of snow balling.
Coolly met by the chaos of the chills and the ice,
Somehow takes away the beauty of something visually so nice.

Such an honour to feature on the cover of @giveafewwords for their Christmas publication. In my book (pardon the pun!), it’s an immensely worthy cause; I feel so privileged to support them.
Silent snow flurries; a frenzy of anticipation all around,
Nothing quite like the prettiness of a white blanket on the ground.
Open skies letting snow fall, landing silently where it lands,
With spirited little minds, excited to hold snow in their hands.

The latest COVID 19 tiers are like a metaphorical wedding cake,
Tier 1 at the top, the first to see a break.
Once cut into though, the uniformity crumbles away,
With each people consuming in their own unique way.#Poetry#tiersystem#poetrycommunity#lightinlockdown
