The WSD Board of Education approved the hiring of Dr. Angie Franklin as principal of Boone Trail Elementary, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Franklin has served as principal at the Rapides Parish School Board in Alexandria, Louisiana, for a decade.

Last week, @discovery_ridge third graders turned their desks into mini storefronts for a school craft fair. Their creativity and teamwork raised $2,700 for No Time to Spare Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Morning Star Church’s Backpack Impact Program! #WeAreWentzville
A special shoutout goes to student Charisma Aguocha, whose fast action helped to keep another student safe during a medical event. She kept her in a safe position until help could arrive. Great job, Charisma!
The Health Services Department made sure the WSD knew the words to “Stayin’ Alive” this year with 400 CPR certifications completed, up from 265 last year. That includes 327 staff members and 73 students from THS, LHS, Holt, and FMS. Way to be proactive WSD! #WeAreWentzville
