The carbon tax was sold as the great climate solution.

Here’s the SAD truth:

Over 5 years it “saved” ≈ 0.119 gigatons of CO2.

That’s roughly equivalent to **3 days** of China’s emissions.

We hiked the price of gas, heat, groceries, and everything that moves for half a decade…

For NOTHING.

Zero meaningful impact on the global climate.

Canada’s total annual emissions are around 0.7 Gt. We crippled competitiveness, punished families and small businesses, and drove energy investment away — all for a rounding error while China, India, and the rest of the developing world keep building coal plants at full speed.

Now Carney — the same globalist who helped architect this mess — wants to double down with Net Zero mandates, carbon capture fantasies, and “decarbonized oil” (whatever the hell that means).

Have we learned nothing?

This was never about saving the planet. It was about control, revenue, and punishing productive Canadians while the real emitters laugh.

Canada has more forest than almost any country on Earth. We’re already a massive carbon sink. The tax was always a grift — and Carney is just the next salesman trying to keep the con alive.

Scrap it. Axe the tax. Stop the economic self-sabotage.

Canadians are done paying for virtue that achieves jack shit.

Brian Kingston, CEO of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association, just dropped the truth bomb the Liberals don’t want to hear:

“Without the U.S., there is no Canadian automotive market.”

Diversification? Not an option. Canada’s entire auto sector is built around the United States.

Meanwhile, Carney’s Liberals are still pushing their Chinese EV deal — even though just 49,000 of those cars already represent **30%** of all EVs sold in Canada in a year.

Hundreds of thousands of Canadian jobs are on the line, and this government is more worried about virtue-signalling net-zero targets than protecting the industry that actually employs people.

This isn’t “building Canada strong.”
This is selling out Canadian workers to look good on the world stage.

Mark Carney’s big “affordable housing” solution?

Spend your tax dollars buying up 2,200+ vacant, overpriced condos that developers couldn’t sell.

These are the same shoebox units young Canadians have been locked out of for years. Built at prices normal people couldn’t afford. Now the developers are stuck holding empty inventory they refuse to sell at a loss.

So Carney’s answer isn’t to let the market correct and bring prices down to reality.

His answer is to bail out the developers with taxpayer money and keep prices artificially high.

This isn’t compassion.
This isn’t affordable housing policy.

This is corporate welfare disguised as caring.

While young Canadians live in their parents’ basements, delay having kids, or pay $3,000 a month for a tiny apartment, the government is protecting the profits of the people who broke the market.

Let the prices fall.
Let working Canadians actually buy homes again.

Stop sending the bill to regular people so developers don’t have to take a loss.
