#WTCKin1@USAOWTC I really like the character Dana in this book because she is such a strong woman for doing what she does and keeps going and never stops fighting for her life and how much passion she has for writing because she knows she can write about anything.
@kam_dickson I haven't read a book including time travel and it was so crazy and i loved it! This book always leaves me hanging and I never want to stop because it just grabs my attention and that doesn't happen a lot with me and books.
@JosephUmmel@USAOWTC I agree with you, this article was really ahead of its time. It felt like it was written the last couple years because our society is just now talking about it and letting it be a "norm"
#WTCGender@USAOWTC Gender has become a very touchy topic now a days because there is so much criticism going on about how people decide to live their lives so its amazing that this article was wrote in 1988. I feel like this paper was written maybe in the last couple years.
#WTCRoom@USAOWTC Reading this makes me so thankful that I live in the time that I do because Im actually acknowledged & people listen & understand that women have really amazing thoughts. Im not sure if i could have lived at the time where women were only useful when wanted.
@Dami16525434@USAOWTC I agree with this. We see in the world that women are more welcome to have more tougher jobs than they were years ago; yet, men are expected by society to have manly jobs and when they find a passion in a career that's not usually worked by men, society judges them.
@MorganM72906554@al9xrimmer@USAOWTC I agree with you. This whole world is focused around money and how much money people can make in their lives, but for what? After this life is over, none of that matters. It matters of what kind of person you were, not what you had.
#WTCMarx@USAOWTC I enjoyed reading this because it brought a lot of points up to me. Two that really stuck to my brain was the labor theory of Adam Smith & the point he brought up about how people don't work for fun, they work for the money & to be able to strive in this world
#WTCGrove@USAOWTC All the different points of view and their sides of the story was so hard to follow because they didn't line up with the other stories but it was kinda interesting trying to solve the murder while reading all the different stories from the different people.
@AllieMo92634146@USAOWTC Thats funny that you compared it to the game Clue because that really is what it sounded like when i was reading. It was really hard to follow because of all the stories being so conflicting. A very tough game of Clue!
#WTCMods@USAOWTC Mirror was by far my favorite poem because it really speaks to me when it says "i am not cruel, only truthful". A mirror only shows the truth about someone and someone can look in the mirror and really see their true self on the inside and the outside.
@JoelLan72618966@DestineyisHere7@USAOWTC I thought of that comparison while reading this too! It instantly reminded me of the guy that counted the peas all day long while the plague was destroying the town of Oran.
@xmiller_@USAOWTC i agree with you, its disappointing that I did not get the chance to learn about anything like this in high school because it would have changed my whole perspective about a lot of things.
#WTCDar@USAOWTC I enjoyed how Darwin suggests that religion and science can coexist because we can incorporate religion without it disagreeing what is science.
#WTCPostImp@USAOWTC I thought it was interesting that all of the Van Gogh self-portraits are all the same but different at the same time. You can see that every time he paints his self portraits, he views himself differently.
#WTCFreud@USAOWTC I found it ironic that Freud, of all people, wrote about religion. He talks about pleasure & happiness & when i look at those & tie them in with religion my thoughts are that those are temporary & what is eternal is how we get to spend our life after this life
@WillCozad@USAOWTC yeah, it's a little ironic that he knows it's important in people's lives; however, he doesn't think it's important in his life or doesn't act like it's important.
