The Donning ceremony is an African American, Hispanic, and International tradition where parents, family and friends place the stole on the graduate before graduation. A family member or friend is given time to express what the graduation/student means to their family.

Actress, playwright and educator Anna Deveare Smith will headline WTAMU Distinguished Lecture Series annual spring event.

Smith will speak at 7 p.m. April 4 in Legacy Hall on the WT cain the JBK Student Center in Canyon. The lecture is free and open to the public.

International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. Happy International Women's Day!
