@IrvingLibraries Readalotl or Readalittle Summer Reading Challenge and website. We love reading & it shows! We are making use of all of our resources including 24 hour access to eBooks through our Classlink Launchpad. JUST READ!

@WTHanes Cowboys have been expanding their learning with @LightboxEdu eBook collections over the past 6 weeks. We explored poetry, Seasons and Weather, different types of transportation, and responsible technology use. Look at how many eBooks they checked out! @IrvingLibraries

@WTHanes Cowboys have been reading up a storm over the last 6 weeks doing research, learning about primary sources, and comparing fiction to nonfiction titles. They have created cards using AI tools and learned about Digital Citizenship. Way to go!! @IrvingLibraries

@WTHanes students were hitting the books last 6 weeks! Research and eBooks took them right through holiday break and the Book Fair was a big success! @IrvingLibraries @IrvingISD

@WTHanes Cowboys are off to a great start in the library. They are so excited about our new books and have had a great time learning about how to care for and find books in the library. We are looking forward to a wonderful year of reading adventures. @IrvingLibraries @IrvingISD

Next week, SRC events for kids continue with a live animal demo and fun shows at Irving Library branches. See the image for details. South Library brings back Friday Night Library at 7 p.m., June 20 with a "box" car drive-in movie featuring a pup-ular crime-fighter!

Closing out the year is always bittersweet, but we are filled with pride at the growth and accomplishments of our @WTHanes Cowboys and Cowgirls. Reading colors our world as we splash into stories with @IrvingLibraries Summer Reading challenges. @IrvingISD

@WTHanes Cowboys were so busy over the past 6 weeks, we learned about gardens and growing, wrote book reviews on Beanstack @zoobeanreads, hosted the GT showcase, and went back in time. Somehow we also managed to give away over 200 free books at Literacy Night! @IrvingLibraries

@WTHanes 4th graders have been busy learning about the history and symbols of St. Patrick's Day. After a video & quiz, we wrote about one new thing we learned that we did not know before. @IrvingLibraries @IrvingISD

@WTHanes 2nd grade Cowboys worked together to build Lego bridges after listening to The 3 Billy Goats Gruff. They pointed out features from the story that are clues that it is a fable, then built a bridge for the goats to cross. STEAM is happening in our @IrvingLibraries !

@WTHanes & @HaleyHornFrogs are learning about The Olympics and creating the Olympic Flag by finding rings hidden in the different collections. The trick is making sure you know where you found it, so that the Olympic Flag looks right;) @IrvingLibraries
