Clarification on the Launch of Watermelon (WTML)

Dear Community,

We want to address the launch of Watermelon (WTML), a humanitarian project designed to redistribute 2% of transaction fees to NGO's for Palestine.
After six months of hard work, we launched our token on February 1st, with the ambition of building a strong and impactful project.

Unfortunately, from the start, a wave of FUD spread within the crypto community due to several unforeseen events.
First, a technical mistake was made our developer did not lock the liquidity, which raised concerns and led to a lack of confidence. Additionally, the token was sniped, meaning that some opportunistic traders were able to buy large amounts in the first seconds and sell quickly for profit, increasing volatility.

On top of this, another mistake on our part was the distribution of too much supply to influencers. While we wanted to spread awareness about the project, some individuals took advantage of our trust. Among them, a Spanish influencer outright stole from us 13k$ (https://t.co/Vkg9S6XKlI), selling his tokens without any regard for the humanitarian mission behind Watermelon.

What a shame, isn’t it, to exploit a project designed to help those in need?

The combination of these factors led to a sharp price drop, causing panic among investors.

Our Decision: Relaunching Watermelon

To address this situation, we have decided to act responsibly and relaunch the token with properly locked liquidity to prevent similar issues in the future.

To ensure fairness and transparency, we have also sold all our token holdings. Additionally, all presale participants on PinkSale who did not sell their tokens will receive an airdrop of the new version of Watermelon, at the original launch price.

We understand the frustration some may feel, and we take full responsibility for our mistakes. However, our commitment remains unchanged: to build a stable and sustainable project that serves a meaningful cause. We sincerely thank those who continue to support us, and we will keep you updated on the next steps very soon.
