@EastVan808@jabo_vancouver@DanRussellST Honestly, Dan, who cares? His passing isn't even in the rear view yet. Why he left the local broadcast is, in the grand scheme of things, irrelevant. He left & yeah he continued to work as an analyst, but with far less travel than the Canucks gig entailed. Just leave it there.
@sportsrage@DonTaylor5 Would love to see it, but if we can't support soccer, which arguably has a larger audience here (it's the top youth sport by a significant margin), how are we reasonably expecting baseball to generate 25K or 30K per game for 81 home dates?
@JoeOrrico99 I think the right foot is even with the rubber here. That, to me, is the balk. He isn't stepping toward the base. Toe is pointing in that general direction, but did he gain ground toward 2nd? I'd argue he didn't, but a different angle might be more conclusive.
@AndehWahl@aesius1 He had two choices: either try like hell to keep him or....don't. Seems either way he went he would have ended up in the same place.
@AndehWahl@aesius1 "It's one of the reasons we signed the guys..." is clearly not "they only signed Brock Boeser in an attempt to keep Quinn Hughes". ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@seyerpa Hughes became captain right before 23-24 season began. The beef between Miller & EP apparently started shortly thereafter. Didn't become public for another year. Problem was it was the supposed leadership guys who were beefing. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@RobTheHockeyGuy The final 5 games have zero bearing at this point. Keep in mind, negotiations aren't always conveniently concluded to fit dates on the calendar. Any number of things can be going on behind the scenes.
@CNote_100RR@AlliAlliG Gonna say this respectfully: do some research. From 1900 to the 1960s games were played in 2 hours or less. They only got to 3 hours in late 1990s. Pitchers in both leagues hit until 1973, when games averaged 2.5 hrs. So no, they didn't have "more time".
