Todd Beamer died a father, husband, and hero.

Lisa: I understand. Can they see you?

Todd: No. There are three that we know of. They have knives — razor knives, like box cutters. Someone announced from the cockpit there was a bomb. It sounded fake.

Lisa: Your name?Todd: Todd Beamer. United Flight 93.Todd: They killed one passenger in first class. They forced most of us back. Fourteen of us here. Five flight attendants. The guy with the bomb ordered us to sit on the floor.

Lisa: Are you okay?

Todd: We’re going down… wait. No. We’re leveling off. We changed directions. We’re flying east again.

Todd: A guy named Jeremy called his wife. She told him two planes hit the World Trade Center. Lisa, is that true?

Lisa: I have to tell you the truth. It’s very bad. Both towers are gone. A third plane hit the Pentagon. Our country is under attack. I’m afraid your plane may be part of their plan.

Todd: Oh God. Lisa, will you do something for me? Call my wife and my kids. Promise me you’ll call.

Lisa: I promise.

Todd: Our home number is… You have the same name as my wife. Lisa. We’ve been married ten years. She’s pregnant with our third child. Tell her I love her. I’ll always love her. We have two boys — David, he’s 3, and Andrew, he’s 1. Tell them their daddy loves them and he is so proud of them. The baby is due January 12th. I saw an ultrasound. We still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy.

Lisa: I’ll tell them. I promise, Todd.(Lisa patches in the FBI.)

Agent: Todd, your plane is on a course for Washington. Best guess is the White House or the Capitol.

Todd: I understand. I’ll be back.

Todd: Everyone knows this isn’t a normal hijacking. We have decided we will not be pawns in their plot.

Lisa: What are you going to do?

Todd: Four of us are going to rush the one with the bomb. Then the cockpit. A stewardess is getting boiling water. We’ll take them out.

Todd: Would you pray with me?They pray the Lord’s Prayer. Then: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.

🚨 OMG, WHY TRUMP DID THIS… Trump noticed the Marines through his window. And for a brief moment… he wasn’t thinking like the President. He simply became what those Marines needed most — a Commander-in-Chief who truly noticed them.

Nobody arranged this. Nobody scripted it. No PR team planned it. No speechwriter prepared the words. Trump was simply moving through the White House when he looked outside and saw the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon practicing on the South Lawn.

That incredible precision. That unwavering discipline. That quiet dedication that so many people might walk past without noticing. But Trump stopped. He watched them. And then he said three simple words that made the moment unforgettable:

“Come on in, fellas.”

And those Marines entered the Oval Office.

The most powerful room in America. And Trump personally presented each of them with a Presidential Challenge Coin. One after another. Looking them in the eyes. Shaking every hand.

Then one Marine looked at Trump and said, “Thank you.”

And today… a 20-year Air Force veteran shared online: “I never thought I would feel this way about this man. But this is what real leadership looks like.”

That veteran expressed something many people couldn’t put into words.

A couple of days ago I was driving east on SH 29 around Art, Texas when my old friend J.B. Sauceda, aka @tcreporter , pulled up behind me. It's a one-lane-in-each-direction road and I always feel bad because I'm not the world's fastest driver. But J.B. didn't crowd me, though he was behind me for at least 25 miles. Finally the road split and he pulled up beside me in his big ol' Texas Country Reporter vehicle. I honked, he looked over and saw me, and we pulled over. Isn't that crazy?

For those unaware, J.B.'s a standup guy who's deserving of every accolade and every success. When Bob Phillips retired after 50+ years, I heard from quite a few folks that Bob was irreplaceable and that Texas Country Reporter would never be the same blah blah blah, but I knew J.B. and I knew he would knock it out of the park, and of course he has. Watch any of the TCR videos and you'll see what I mean. He has the soul of a poet.

But, yeah ... all the roads in Texas ---- all the possible combinations of places and time in the Lone Star State ---- and fate puts him right behind me at a place about 100 miles from where we each live. I was at the end of a 2200-mile journey. Had I been a minute slower, he'd likely have been ahead of me and we'd never have crossed. So random.

Thanks to J.B. for sending this to me. Pretty cool moment.
