Some of the Christian folks on this medium obviously regret the Asatru presence here; so be it. May they be blessed by their God; and we by ours. We have the Eddic lore and histories, we have volumes describing our relations to our Holy Powers. We have, at the very least, the raw material of theology - many of us, myself included, have elucidated our interpretations of the rather bountiful ancient lore. One of my additions to all this is, among other things, "Asatru - A Native European Spirituality," but there are many others, by a host of writers over the years. Another of mine is "The Spear," subtitled "The existence of my people is not negotiable."

My Y Paternal Haplogroup is branch of R-U106. My paternal ancestors originated in Dumfriesshire, Scotland, move into Anahilt, Down, Northern Ireland.

Sold his land, via Antrim came to America via Charleston, SC.

Another Ulster-Scots family I descend from is called, 'Knox' this family is also R-U106 orginated in Ranfurly, Renfrewshire, Scotland. Lived in Raphoe, County Donegal. My direct ancestor name is Sir Uchtred Knox, family who built the Ranfurly Castle in 14th Century.

What if the mechanics of the Pagan Altar worked like this: fundamentally you consecrated the idols, images and icons to invite the deity to inhabit such representations to become a focal point to manifest the divinity during offerings and prayers.
