It’s Indigenous Peoples' Day! Today we honor the Indigenous people whose histories and cultures have shaped our land. WUSD stands on the traditional home of the Patwin people.

October 14th is also a no-school day for all schools except for Washington Middle College High School.

It's Filipino American History Month! On Oct.18, 1587, the first recorded Filipinos arrived at what is now Morro Bay, CA.

This month, WUSD celebrates the invaluable contributions of Filipino Americans in shaping our schools, community, and beyond.
