We believe that this is the first time a #WxChallenge city has been in a tornado warning during its forecast period. We hope everyone is safe from the storm.
@LanceWeatherGuy After speaking with the NWS directly, the Advisory Board is keeping Day 1-4 verifications as is at this time. If they get any updated information, it will be handled at that time. It is a shame that the station (or any ASOS) is as fragile as it is.
The KRDU ASOS site is not operating normally due to the combination of maintenance and a simultaneous communications incident. While the unit may be restored to normal soon, it continues to operate in a limited mode at this time, and may continue to do so ...(1/2)

The University of Oklahoma will be shutting off power to certain buildings for 6 hours to conserve energy with our limited power supplies. The National Weather Center (where the WxC servers are housed) has backup power generators. Please be aware in case the website (1/2)
