Never forget when 37-year-old Shannon Watkins entered a store to buy something to drink.

18-year-old Chris Ervin Jr. snatched Shannon’s gun and fled outside.

Shannon soon followed, and when he did, he was shot with his own gun.

A second man, 18-year-old Kenderrion J. Muse, exited a nearby white Chrysler 300 and also shot Shannon several times.

Shannon was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The suspects were arrested shortly after and both were charged with:

• felony murder
• aggravated assault with intent to kill
• robbery
• possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime

- And Ervin was charged with 1st degree cruelty to children because he had a child in his car.
