@TheBatBothy@_BCT_ (Dan here) I've recently put 4x post quarantine pups together and they're doing well as a group. It's been great to see them interact with one another.
@Hepcatblogs I'm sorry we didn't see your message sooner.
If you find a grounded or injured bat the best bet is to call the BCT on 0345 1300 228 for advice and assistance. We done typically see tweets frequently enough to respond to emergency questions.
@dickiewood@_BCT_ However there's a lot of bat detectors with videos on the NHBS website. The baton is on there as are many others. Be happy to hear what others may think.
@dickiewood@_BCT_ The EMT pro is also a fairly budget option (around 200 Vs 80 of the Magenta) and features auto ID and works with a phone.
As for professional tackle.... I've no experience so wouldn't want to suggest anything
@dickiewood@_BCT_ Hi, (Dan a bat carer here) - for the enthusiastic amateur the Magenta 5 is probably the best. It's a loud hetrodyne that helps learn what bats sound like. Has a backlit screen to show mhz to help with ID but keeps user focused on bats not phone screen.

We aren't at #pup season yet, but it is starting to warm and #bats may start to emerge. Some may be tired after a long winter and become grounded. People often mistake adults for babies due to the size and it being spring. Here's a quick easy guide.
Tomorrow we will be @NewsomeWild 's open day with a bat stall and our new interactive posters. Come along and say Hi if you're local to Newsome, Huddersfield.
