If there's a buzz in the air…it's bee-cause it's #WorldlBeeDay! 🐝
Bees are vital for pollinating crops, fruits & veg but are sadly in danger.
We’ve got a bee surveying ‘grab bag’ to borrow with a map, nets, ID charts & a table to fill in.

Yep, Old MacDonald had a farm…but so do we! And on 8 June you can visit for free!
Visit Northfield Farm from 10am-4pm for a sneak-peek at how we're working to produce food sustainably, improve soil health, increase biodiversity & use natural processes: https://t.co/OXJmIIuKn9

Our long travelling visitors are back!
Swallows are starting to build their nests, which can take up to 1,200 journeys for a pair to build.
Most British swallows try to rear two broods each summer and some succeed in raising three.
Come for a visit and see if you can spot them!
We’ve had some bird-ringing at Hill End!
In the breeding season, some birds get small identity rings to helps keep track of the its movements and life history.
That info’s logged & shared with national databases.
Sounds like fun? Check out @_BTO
Ever thought about coming to work for us at #WythamWoods?
If planting, felling trees and fence repairs sound like a ‘path’ you ‘wood’ love to ‘branch’ out into, we’re hiring an Estates Worker (Forestry/Woodland) https://t.co/m57FigPiVa
Applications close 12pm Thurs 30 Jan!
We were delighted our wonderful wood was centre stage of this year’s @BBCAutumnwatch!
Chris Packham showcased the amazing wildlife our woodland has, including badgers as they left their sett at dusk for nocturnal fun, games and food. Check it out on @BBCiPlayer.

An excellent way to start the day - being named @WythamWoods writer in residence for 2024-2025. 1,000 acre Wytham Woods was bequeathed to @uniofoxford in 1942 & it's the site of extraordinary scientific research, as well as a place to think, walk & write https://t.co/CBRPml5J1J
