Wyze Solar Cam Pan Security Camera Voluntary Recall
We are recalling certain Wyze Solar Cam Pan units due to an installation-related safety issue.
The product includes two different types of screws used for installation: short pan-head machine screws and long flat-head wood screws.
The short screws are used to attach the solar panel to the top of the camera. The long screws should only be used to mount to the wall or other surface. If the long screws are incorrectly used to attach the solar panel to the camera, they may penetrate the closed-bottom brass inserts and puncture the internal lithium-ion battery, causing the battery to rapidly overheat, posing a risk of serious injury or property damage from fire or burn hazard.
If you used the long flat-head wood screws to attach the solar panel to the camera, or are unsure which screws were used, please stop using the product and visit the recall page for instructions.
