This entire scene terrified me as a kid. Just the idea of hiding from a bunch of giant alien robots and all they’re doing is just walking was enough to make me squirm
Reminder that this is THE highest Grossing Transformers film of all time and considering that every trailer as well as the marketing for the movie did nothing but create so much hype it was almost legendary it makes sense it didn't flop even if it's story is pretty mediocre
13 years later, Pacific Rim is still one of the pinnacles of modern kaiju cinema with outstanding vfx, mesmerising action, stylish cinematography and production design, heart-pounding music and fascinating world-building more than making up for any plot/character issues.
One of the failures of the live action comicbook movies is making these overlord type villains into overly serious people. These motherfuckers are having fun.
