@rayhanarif07 I moved all clients and personal sites to astro. Used wordpress for over a decade. I tested astro with no intention of moving initially. Can't speak for everyone else. Emdash is simple and works very well. I hear wordpress is getting post types soon.
@rayhanarif07 I agree they are trying, but adding custom post types as native functionality should have been done at launch. Now it's just too late. I'm sure wordpress will still do very well but they shouldn't try to re-invent the wheel and work on what matters the most.
@apeatling@photomatt@jdevalk Wordpress is slacking big. I wish it wasn't, but it is. It does its job, its reliable. But given the choice, i want more. There are many people leaving wordpress right now and its starts with the more techy people. I hope wordpress gets through its mid life crisis but...
@dipakcgajjar Emdash and astro is a beast. I cant see Wordpress being a top pick for much longer tbh. I love wordpress and it will always be around but the workflow is so much faster with other tools and frameworks and open source software is getting better and better.
@jdevalk I love wordpress, but its an ex. I moved on when they didnt. People will hang on to it for a long time im sure out of fear.
This post really shows a lot of people that didnt actually test out emdash properly and cant see the potential. I setup my first site with it in 6 hours.
@RichardHeartWin I lost my secret key so now I just get to see all my pls wallet balance moon. All my savings for 5 years of holding strong! Looks like I'm diamonds hands forever π
That's my 5.
But I'm probably missing something.
What would you add? What are you tracking that I didn't mention?
(And be honest β how many of these 5 are you actually doing right now?)
5 things I'd track from day one if I were launching a business today.
I learned these the hard way β after making $287K and not being able to explain where it came from. π§΅
5. A monthly spend-to-profit connection.
Dead simple. I spent X here. It returned Y in revenue and Z in profit.
Every channel. Every month.
If you can't see this, you're guessing. Guessing at scale gets expensive.
