A: I just feel this basic desire to be good at this. I never really had any natural talent for this, and I want to improve.

A friend of mine is looking for an HDMI capture card, hopefully on the cheaper end. Is there anything to watch out for when buying one of these? I never got one before so I don't know if there are like a bunch of crappy scam ones out there that will die immediately or whatever.
