Ecosystem Security Update:
First and foremost, the chia L1 blockchain (chia) is safe, XCH and the core network were never compromised.
Three security exploits of ecosystem projects occurred recently on the Chia blockchain. These incidents were isolated logic bugs in 3rd-party Chialisp smart coins, Chia Network, Inc (Chia) is actively aiding teams with analysis and recovery.
@don_mqrek Thanks for pointing that out! There was a minor issue with the countdown, which is fixed now. The time still gets recalibrated after each farmed block, but the countdown itself should run much smoother now.
@ArtBoss007 Ofcourse it's an estimate based on average block time over a certain time. This snapshot was when there was an average block time of 18.00 seconds, now it's 19.00 seconds and is it a bit above the 150 days. Countdown time is recalibrated after each farmed block.
Lightning is a Layer 2 protocol built on Bitcoin L1, where off-chain channel states are ultimately secured by Bitcoin’s scripting and settlement layer.
Chia’s state-channel primitives are native to its L1 coin/puzzle model: CLVM/Chialisp can encode the state-transition and settlement logic, while the intermediate states remain off-chain.
So it’s not Chia’s version of Lightning”, it’s a more general programmable state-channel primitive that can also support payment channels and other applications.

Poker games are not really the point. They are simply an easy-to-understand demonstration of what Chia can do.
What it actually demonstrates is that a Chia coin can support arbitrarily long, interactive state channels between two parties, while only the opening and final settlement need to become on-chain transactions.
That pattern isn't specific to gaming. It can be used for things like negotiations, auctions, or repeated trades — any interaction involving many small steps and one final settlement, where putting every step on-chain would be too slow or expensive.
So reducing it to “poker games” misses the actual technical significance. The game is the demonstration; the underlying capability is much broader. chia:native #crypto https://t.co/0hiPJZMlud
We're excited to announce that ANAAR has selected our Chia Blockchain for the infrastructure of their Artisan Network. "ANAAR demonstrates how blockchain technology can solve real problems by abstracting away the underlying complexity," said Vishal Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer of Chia Network. I was bored so i vibecoded a Chia Mempool explorer in the past weeks, still some work to do. But we're live 😀 https://t.co/oe8qpA3TWb chia:native #XCH#Chia Go take a look, love your feedback!
