I have been working as a sand artist in Korea for 15 years.😄
I have mainly produced performances and videos in collaboration with companies, government offices, broadcasting stations, orchestras, and Kpop stars.

Although I worked under the title of artist, I was not an artist who exhibited my work in a gallery.
I was just a commercial digital producer or an artist performing on stage.
In the face of COVID-19, all performances and productions were halted and I had to go through a difficult time.😱

When despair arrived at my doorstep, I met NFT in 2021.
NFT opened up a new life for me as an artist.🙏

I used sand to draw and paint disappearing pictures where I had to erase the sand again to create a new work.
Every time, the works failed to remain in the world and had to disappear along with the past.
I just occasionally shared it as a free video on YouTube.

But NFT told me that now I can draw pictures that won't disappear.
NFT says you can record your sand painting on the blockchain forever and it will be valued by people.
So I took on the challenge.

For the first time, I uploaded a delicately created sand painting as an NFT through Opensea.
And then amazing things started happening to me.

I also started to have collectors, and they supported me, informed me, and created value together.
I felt like I was dreaming and was truly grateful and moved.

That kind of support and encouragement was the driving force that allowed me to further pursue my work.

I researched and developed new works.
Together with various artists, we continued to engage in digital exhibition activities and NFT sales in the United States, France, Japan, and Korea.

As the number of collectors gradually increased, I was invited to join the small collector community as an artist.
It was such an honor. ❤️
And thank you so much.

They gave me their support.
Afterwards, activities such as dropping NFTs and large-scale exhibitions were held on the nft platform of a large Korean exchange.

NFTs were always sold out as soon as they were issued, and all collectors gave me their support.
As time passed, austerity measures began in the United States and the coin market froze.
NFTs also began to slump as winter approached.
But strangely enough, NFT art was still alive and well.

I had no intention of stopping my work as an artist and I continued to work because I was grateful.

My first impression was that it was a very mysterious place.
This is because, although it is winter in all NFT markets, the heat here is still alive.
I dropped ‘Meta Puppy’ as my first collection and it sold out within hours.😱😍
And I met some very precious overseas collectors.

They respected and loved my art.
And they supported me generously and gave me great energy in my activities.
Although they are scattered all over the world and difficult to meet, I felt a great warmth.
I was able to develop and work harder with their support.

As time passed, I came up with a goal.
I thought I wanted to make the only sand art pfp in the world.
It could be a very difficult challenge for me.

This is because in order to generate with pfp, a very large amount of parts had to be manufactured.
And because all the parts had to be very well standardized and seamlessly connected to each other, a very difficult work process was expected.

For six months, I researched, tested, and produced every day.😅
On the outside, it may not be much different from other PFPs, but to me, each and every one of them is a piece of work with my own hands on it.

These works were created as a result of the hours spent bending over the light box in the sand art studio with the lights off.

To me, these works are like my children and it is a PFP of a style that is only one in the world.
The Sand Lions that were created that way were dropped and collected more than I expected.

About 1,000 collectors were created and they communicated together through Artflex Discord.😍

All of them were overseas holders, and thankfully they loved SL.❤️🙏
I was so grateful for their support that I kept my promise even more happily and diligently.
In this way, a community of collectors who were precious to me was created.

I remember all my first encounters with them.😄❤️

The brother was a young and energetic college student.
The brother who is always warm and always blows my heart out on the spot every day.
The brother who was happy to be with me and gave me support when I asked him to.
A reliable brother who always represents me and the community and informs people around me, and is even more passionate than me, the founder.
The brother is still a mystery, but always has strong support behind him.
The brothers were as solid and unwavering as a rock, showing great strength and faithfulness to me and the community, and supporting me generously.

Brothers who always supported me and participated in various activities.
The brothers used their talents to participate in various activities for the collection and community.
Brothers who have always been with us by delivering positive energy to the community.

I am so loved by each and every one of them and I love them all.
I need to develop further as an artist.
I think that is the way for my precious collector and community family who love, respect, and support me.
I will continue to create new works and announce them to the world.

In 2023, it had a large exhibition in Korea and was also exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in the UK.
Exhibitions and NFT sales were held in various places, including the United States, France, and Japan.

What else will happen in 2024? I have happy thoughts.
I believe that as I grow as an artist, the value of my works will increase.
Therefore, I will not stop and I will continue to work hard and have fun.

I will showcase my work in various places, and I hope to collaborate with global companies as an NFT artist in 2024.
As time goes by, I want to repay all the collectors who own my work and the friends who supported me.

I am a full-time artist who lives my life as an artist, so I never stop.
And I always express my deep gratitude and respect to everyone who always supports me. #NFT #NFTArts
