There are so many professional artists that puts clipper on the master to 'clip' the drums and other stuffs for the texture or other things they have in mind.
Tldr: All the things you do as an artist is the answer as long as what you do is something what you know.

Sure that's true for some of the cases but the truth is that none of it matters as long the result sounds good at least in my opinion. There is no such thing as objectively correct answer since music is a form of art. And art always has room for creativity.
