Many years ago I found a place listing my comic that allowed people to leave comments; I was surprised I had any, and all of them were overwhelmingly positive. Mostly I get hate mail and comments, so a few kind remarks, a sentence each, made an impact. Today I print those out.

The authors subjective take on the series, nothing more, nothing less. I used to be bigger on reviews, but too many got me to read bad books or see bad movies, so I don’t put much stock in them.

No and no. Reviews are subjective and I can be a really harsh judge to myself, and not great at compliments or affirmations to others. I’ve seen reviews destroy friendships between artists—so, no, thanks, I can get myself ostracized with less work than a review takes.

I only know about them if someone tells me they did one. Otherwise I don’t expect it, so I don’t look up reviews for my or other comics unless something in that comic doesn’t make sense, and I want to figure out what happened (Or if it’s just me.)

@webcomicchat It was 1996, and I was only allowed to read newspaper comics. On Geocities, I searched “comics”, and found comics made by college students for their paper that they scanned in online. I began building a website; I already had 100 some comics to share.

#NewProfilePic Because I just picked the most recent photo I had before and was too lazy to change it. Not my hair color now, but I loved it and plan to go full #rainbow again soon. Get a lot of hassle because of it, but it seriously helps my #depression.

Can I just take a few moments to completely gloat over my one huge accomplishment. In 1999 I won the National Scholastic Art award for textile and fiber design and I found out some stuff in a box that means I beat the one and only Zac Posen. Thank you ! And have a lovely day.
