1. We remember so that the Genocide against the Tutsi is never forgotten, never rewritten, and never diminished by time or distance.
2. 32 years later, the responsibility to confront genocide ideology remains urgent. Its persistence, as seen in the ongoing persecution and killings of Tutsi communities in Eastern DRC, is a painful reminder that hatred, when left unchallenged, evolves but does not disappear. It is a reflection of how deeply rooted this ideology remains and how dangerous silence and poor leadership can be.
3. To the young generation, this is our duty. We must stand firm against denial, against distortion, and against any attempt to blur the truth. There is no ambiguity in what happened in Rwanda. It is the Genocide against the Tutsi and naming it correctly is not optional; it is essential.
We remember. We stand. We protect the truth.
32 years since the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, remembrance is still a responsibility we share.
For the lives lost.
For the survivors.
For the future we must protect.
We remember. We unite. We renew.

Can someone please remind us how we can contribute to the Agaciro Development Fund?
Aka gasuzuguro? Wapi!
By the way, resilience is in our DNA—and when it comes to the power of heart, we go big!
Rwanda’s real crime is taking our destiny into our own hands. How dare we protect our security without asking for permission? How dare we think that a dignified, peaceful country is something we deserve?
What is encouraged is the kind of leadership that abdicates any responsibility for its own people, calls on everyone else but themselves to solve their problems and shamelessly sells its dignity to the highest bidder.
An army unpaid, hundreds of mercenaries (rebranded as paramilitaries), genocidaires and soldiers from 4 different countries killing DRC citizens, a President that openly calls for the overthrow of Rwanda’s government, ministers calling for ethnic cleansing, looting of national resources at an unprecedented scale…and somehow not ONE call for DRC’s accountability.
Rwanda is blamed for DRC’s failure of governance, evident on the ENTIRETY of the territory of the 2nd largest country on the continent, not because it is true, but because our quest for self determination is unacceptable.
I am in South Africa and I am amazed at how people here, white and black, speak about @PaulKagame. The performance of Rwanda under his leadership is on everyone’s lips. Common agreement: he has done what Africa has failed to do; build an effective state that serves its citizens

It was hate speech and propaganda that incited violence against the Tutsi, and today we continue to see hate speech propagated online. I promise to use my platform to say no to hate speech and support reconciliation. #NeverAgain
On today’s violation of Rwandan airspace by DRC jet: “authorities in the DRC seem emboldened by consistent coddling by some in the international community who repeatedly heap blame on Rwanda for any & all ills in the DRC, while ignoring the transgressions” https://t.co/tYcTdbd2Xj
