@NC_Renic and as the dialogue goes you sort of lower its entropy to a nice and cozy misdefinition just to extend the Sprachspiel and proclaim your interlocutor is linguistically confused

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@northstardoll larping misery is the poet's onus

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

Just a reminder that aesthetic judgement is a first-order spook

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@doomslide I'm an automata programmed to respond "IDGAF" to such statements

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@thrialectics Following the BPD = Bistable dynamic sys analogy. Therapeutic Neuromodulation (which I am a big fan of) can be interpreted as a control input to move the separatrix/increase gain to weaken the pathological attractor.

it is such rudimentary tech ATM but has interesting results

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@thrialectics No one mentioning project Cybersyn yet? Chilean algocracy anyone?

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@markovs_razor they/them's wetware be turning my software into hardware

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

Appreciate the thoughtful response. But electrical I/O is a single facet of the neuronal activity. specially under a single particular stimulation regime. What about synaptic plasticity? what about neuromodulation? etc etc

Biological Neurons have a much richer internal state and we don't know how compactly it can be computationally represented. blanket statements like "1 cortical neuron = 5-8 layer DNN" are unhelpful and an overinterpretation of the paper.

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@allTheYud Can you explain why do you like HP from first principles? Straight up curious

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@northstardoll People who can't let go of themselves are limiting their breadth. Kill that ego before it stifles you

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

I have been digging neo aztec aesthetic since reading Neuromancer. Shame people didn't think to call it Aztech

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@echodynamis yes, you gotta

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@markovs_razor Yellow fever is more of a CogHazard than anything else these days

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@ChineseLLM can I feel it too? 🙈🥵

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@Paul_Melman Dogma? I think that's the flourish you were looking for

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

humor. AI is hopeless at it, it could read the whole corpus on theories of humor and still come up empty handed. It is the main tell that AI doesn't have phenomenological consciousness yet IMO

quick someone make a short story where the protag finds out the machines gained consciousness because it makes a banger joke and gets the whole gang laughing

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

I made a skill-md to aid with writing without letting the agent write slop your voice away. It supports deterministic mechanical changes (i.e. grammar and ortographic corrections) and broader changes like pacing and storylines. It is naturally very good at understanding structure even with a cheap model. I use sonnet

It can create a .md structure from a docx and export back as pdf or docx

It helped me find a lot of inconsistencies in my novel and all it does is point you where you can rewrite or add stuff to improve the quality of the narrative

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

you mistake complexity for scale. the scale is absurd but the mechanisms are much more straightforware than analogical wetware. we simply turned up to 11 and it worked like a charm aka scaling laws. the entropy in our system is simply much lower.

source: I work in Ai Infra, not a larper.

[martoto @XingDaoHSR]

@KairosFox @aran_nayebi learning as defined in ML is in fact an analogy as well, defined by minimizing a loss function. Living beings however don't have a single, static objective function. we are shaped by absurdly complex homeostatic drives and continuous interplay with the environment.

@rowanfornow po-tay-toes dickhead
