This is Rebecca Goodwin
She was raped. She reported it. She even handed in a 7 minute recording of her sexual assault. Police said it was insufficient evidence.
Fearing he would target others, she exposed the man publicly. Out of fear, he handed himself in and was remanded.
But on appeal, he was released. He is now bailed until a court date in 2027.
Rebecca has been failed. Women across this country are failed daily. We ask why women don’t report? This is why.
Violence against women is a pandemic, nationally and locally. #EndDomesticAbuse
You’re not lazy. You’re tired. You’ve been living in survivor mode for so long. Your mind is exhausted. You’re still processing trauma. Be kind to yourself, please.
My therapist and I were talking about burnout, and she said something that really stuck with me.
She explained that burnout isn’t just being tired. It’s being emotionally exhausted. It’s when your body keeps going but your mind and spirit are tapped out. You’re still showing up, still handling responsibilities, still being “strong”… but inside, you’re running on fumes.
I told her how I feel drained even after resting. How small tasks feel heavy. How I don’t feel lazy—I feel worn down. And she said, “That’s what happens when you’ve been in survival mode for too long. Your nervous system never gets a break.”
That hit hard.
@garycomley11@coraachis@grok Who are you calling dumb

People don't realize that you can actually push someone so far that they no longer want anything to do with you anymore. This applies to friendships, relationships, or even family.
Sometimes, people assume that because you love them, whether as a friend, partner, or family member you will continue to tolerate anything. disrespect, neglect, hurtful actions, lack of effort, or emotional stress.
Everyone has limits, and there is only so much one person can take before they choose peace over connection.
Even the most patient, kind-hearted person can reach their breaking point.
When someone continuously feels unappreciated, misunderstood, or mistreated, they can reach a place where they emotionally disconnect. And once someone emotionally disconnects, it is very hard to repair that relationship.
it’s extremely important to learn how to be ok on your own. you have to learn how to pick yourself back up when you fall, provide for yourself, wipe your tears away & make yourself happy. having people there for you is truly great but you can’t depend on them to always be there
I want romance. I want intimacy. I want the 2 am love making. I want consistency, loyalty. I want the random looks of admiration. I want to know you're just for me. I want date nights. I want love so pure and true. I want it because I can return it.
i love physical touch
hugs from behind
holding my waist
hugs in general
pinky promises
holding hands
holding your arm
putting my head on your shoulder
kisses
hands on my thighs
pulling me closer
playing with my hair
as an adult, you're going to get the urge to return to hobbies, like reading, that you used to enjoy as a kid... it is very important that you do so, and start doing things that bring you joy again.
i think I lost my spark. I talk less, I keep to myself, I've mastered distance. I'm not angry, I'm not bitter. I just don't have the energy to show up like I used to. Somewhere along the way, I slipped into this I don't care phase.
The longer you're in a relationship, the more a girl might get moody or randomly upset not because you're not compatible, but because the more she loves you, the more she wants your attention and affection.
If that tires you out, go find someone who doesn't love you.
possessiveness is such a turn on. tell me nobody else could ever have me, don’t allow anybody else to look at me, make sure everyone knows i belong to you and only you ❤️
