Visitors: “Are you tired during the May Day holiday? “
Boss☺️: “It's okay, I just lost two kilograms.”
They called it "forced labor".
Yes, Uyghur boss is forced to increase his income.
Why do anti-Chinese people in the West love this photo of a drug rehabilitation center taken by the #Xinjiang Govt? And they said "#Uyghur genocide".
Because they are all drug addicts.
The name of the drug is "anti-Chinese".
One of the symptoms of drug addiction is hallucination.
Xinjiang keeps its door open to the world. We welcome more friends from all countries to visit Xinjiang and see with their own eyes its charm, harmony and prosperity.
On a three-week journey through Xinjiang in 2021, I had the opportunity to meet many Uyghurs from all walks of life and all ages. Many of them spoke to me either in mandarin or via a translator friend in Uyghur language. The majority of them have become the protagonists of my Xinjiang stories.
Using the photo I shot for them and one of their quotes that really speaks to me, I've designed a dozen of posters. Eight-year-old Yakupjan Memet's poster is my favorite of all.
As I was filming their picturesque village, this little boy and his shy friend came up to me and requested if I could snap a photo of them, speaking Uyghur. He then proceeded to place a flower on his head after I gave my assent. I thought it was quite cute and asked him why he did it, to which he replied, "I think boys can also wear flowers. Flowers are very pretty, and they make me feel very happy."
Apart from Yakupjan, I met a lot of intriguing folks in Xinjiang. There are religious leaders who hope for peace and prosperity for all, foreign students, scholars, and merchants who have lived in Xinjiang for a long time, strong and independent Uyghur businesswomen, and Han scientists who have spent their lives promoting technological development in the region.
To see is to believe. I am not trying to persuade anyone, but I do feel a responsibility to repay the kindness of these people who took the time to speak with me and shed light on Xinjiang.
You don't have to trust me, but you are welcome to visit Xinjiang and see for yourself.
