@autosport The incident that keeps coming to mind that's similar to me was Grosjean's big fuck up at Spa 2012 and that got him a one race ban.

I think Franco has grown a lot this year, but cannoning into multiple cars from that far back and only getting a 5 place grid penalty is a joke.

@shadysmj @AlpineF1Team 100% agreed. Hell the Monaco penalty decision may be the biggest thing of all that hurts the team this year. But the races where they are on track for a strong result are the ones that bite.

I hope this is a thing that Franco learns from and he grows moving forward.

As an Aussie, this race pretty much sums up Oscar's 2026, drives a very good race for 2/3 and it goes to shit when it matters. I get him fighting Hadjar for the podium but man that was messy. #AzerbaijanGP

@shadysmj @AlpineF1Team I think he's very talented and deserves his seat, but those mistakes might cost the team 5th in the constructors at years end, which is 8 million Euro prize money and today might be the difference in Pierre staying in the top 10 in drivers points.

@shadysmj @AlpineF1Team Didn't think he'd have stayed in P4 by any means, but that mistake meant he ended up behind Lindblad on a weekend that the Alpine was significantly faster than the RB. When they're battling for constructors standings those missed points add up fast.

Threw it away while running 4th at Monza. The recovery drive he had was good but that's two big mistakes in three races. I actually think he's done really well this year but he's cost the team bulk points twice now.
