@labradortwister @mercyoffline I love how birds are so lightweight they can climb on tiny twigs like that

[squawk @xSquaWk_]

@mercyoffline I'm still working on getting a good spoonbill photo in the future, but I have plenty of gallinule pics lol.

@murraycoombe Ngl I'm a grackle enjoyer

@mawgdn I love closeup shots. It takes patience to sit and wait for a bird to get close but it's worth it. American/Great Egret photo I took.

@patchworkfemme Nikon gang! I'm shooting on a Z8 now and started with a d7500. Those bridge cameras are cool too, they have super long reach right?

A few more Little Blue Heron shots. This one was relaxing on this perch overlooking the preserve. Nikon Z8, 400mm 4.5

@Holo_Wendy @010824jpg Totally normal neck lol. Egrets and herons have specialized neck vertebrae to retract into an S shape while resting, in flight, or to snap forward quickly to grab their prey.

@PokeMarr This is always the culprit in my experience lol

@emonikolatesla @canuck5551 Keep trying, you'll find one eventually! It took me like 3 or 4 months to finally find my first kingfisher. They love slow moving water, marshes, and lakes, especially with good perches near the water. Good luck
