@XboxSupport at some point my Xbox One X quit updating when off (in standby). I have double and triple checked my settings. Disheartening to turn it on after a week of work to end up waiting 20-30 mins for system update, and having 18 game/app updates. Is this the norm now?

@Xbox isn't it great when you have your Xbox One X set to download updates automatically when turned off, you come home from a long hard work day and want to play your new game, but have 8 updates 5+Gb each? Either release games or updates on Tuesdays, not both!
