The default #Magento order export function is rather poor & limited. So we always install @XTENTO Order Export extension for our clients to allow them to customise their order export needs. We highly recommend this.

We'll remove it next week, look out for an update to XtCore. With regards to the "notifications feed" itself, this one is cached and checked only once a day - just like in M2 core.
