My sociocultural background makes me sometimes feel weird to say/hear that "sample size is too small” for qual research. As an educational researcher, these are human beings and participants, not a number?
I was watching a math Ph.D. using a Jellycat explain what is "non-convex optimization problem", and what real-life problems they can solve. That really makes me think about how a good researcher should be able to introduce their research to any audience.
Am I the only find cross-referencing SUPER HELPFUL during my last year Ph.D... Now I like to link the appendix, table, and figure use cross-referencing, so convenient.

@MiaSShaw I feel IU is trying to make the change to let students know you don't have to have a report to have a missed class. There's a notice in health center, that for flu, cold things they no longer provide the sick report and they mentioned prof. should not ask for the report.
@MiaSShaw Yes, I've just talked about the same problem. There once my students sent their medical report to me. I replied that you really don't need to send the medical history. Just rest. But also, I am thinking about what made students feel they had to share such private info to get rest
