I just spoke to Dugan Ashley/Jordan Derrick and because the jail only allows specially set up zoom calls with lawyers instead of in person visits he's only been able to speak to his lawyer ONCE since this all began and he hasn't been able to get ahold of @FuddBusters despite wanting to. There are a bunch of hoops he has to jump through to set up these calls because they can't use the regular HomeWav system because it's not confidential and the jail has a bunch of rules around when they can be set up and how. There's ONE Bible shared amongst the prisoners despite them having the right to have a personal Bible or other religious text. One guy keeps ripping pages out of the shared Bible so he can smoke drugs as well so it's badly defaced.

Dugan Ashley/Jordan Derrick is being held in the Pettis county jail in Missouri. The jail does not allow in person visits even for family members, they do not allow physical mail and they don't allow inmates to have books. There's ONE Bible that's passed around the jail despite inmates having a constitutional RIGHT to request and possess the religious text of their faith. This is disgusting behavior from the county, holding over COVID style visitation restrictions and banning mail and reading material because they can't be bothered checking for drugs possibly soaked into pages. Most correctional institutions allow inmates to order books through approved sellers like Amazon who obviously aren't going to be trying to smuggle contraband. Violating the right to practice religion should get any institution shut down.

In Dugan's (Jordan Derrick) superseding indictment today the FBI added a second destructive device charge for a total of 4 charges and a maximum of 50 years in prison.

The claim is he had some sort of Thermite device on top of the components needed for constructive intent on the second DD charge.

Despite the update Dugan is in good spirits.

Here's the Dugan Ashley/Jordan Derrick indictment (in comments, there's probably a better way to share this but here it is). BTW thermite is NOT a destructive device, and the equipment listed in the separate unregistered DD charge is standard hobby pyrotechnics equipment, an old mercury switch because you don't throw out free mercury and his kid's BBs listed as "ball bearings". Hope none of you have empty beer bottles and gas for your mower in the garage cuz apparently that's "constructive intent" now.

Seems the court date today for Dugan Ashley/Jordan Derrick went pretty well, there is a tentative trial date set for Aug 10th (that's quick l) and the prosecutor is showing some willingness to drop the "communication of information on the manufacture of explosives" charge. Count three now has four instead of three counts, I'm not 100% sure which one that was so I'm going to wait for confirmation so I don't say the wrong thing. Pic unrelated.

I know I've asked before but any help getting Dugan's story out there is very much appreciated, please share it everywhere you can. It's an incredibly important free speech case that would set a precedent for creators being legally responsible for the misuse of information in their videos, posts, publications and anything else they put out. Guntubers would be liable if someone said they learned a shooting technique that they used in a crime, same for chemistry, martial arts, computers, electronics and anything else.

Dug's real name is Jordan Derrick and he has a wife and 3 kids who will lose all the income they had in about six weeks when his VA disability benefits are stopped. You can help support them through the GoFundMe campaigns and, T-shirt and hoodie sales, both Free Dugan and Carnikcon designs from the bonfire links.

Whether you agree with his opinions on political matters or not it's clearly a political prosecution and meant to have a chilling effect on anyone saying anything that the government doesn't like. The big thread attached has the GoFundMe links for both his legal defense and medical costs because the VA is cutting off his MS infusion treatment after 60 days in jail.
