Curlews had a super DT day! We worked out cylinders are the best shape to create a strong and stable structure. We created paper chairs for a soft toy then found out that 12 cylinders joined together could hold 101 books! @TorrisholmeCPS
What a fabulous morning at the Primary Engineer finals, the children were interviewed by real engineers, and had to roll their dumper truck in a straight line down a ramp. So proud of our winner and all the children who took part. @TorrisholmeCPS@primaryengineer
Inspired by Nancy Holt our art has taken Curlews class on a journey of exploration of circles with iPads, creating temporary art with any circles we could find and looking at her inspirational art. Looking forward to our natural creations soon. @TorrisholmeCPS@TCPSArtists
Curlews had fun testing their dumper trucks for the distance it travels, the amount of balls it can dump and the finished decoration.#primaryengineer@TorrisholmeCPS
Year 2 had an amazing Geography Field Trip to Morecambe. Check out our webpage for our singing talent with Eric Morecambe. We used our skills to create maps in the afternoon. @TorrisholmeCPS
