This beautiful drawing was my daughter's birthday message to me. She's 8years old and in Primary 3. She expressed her love with colourful hearts and endless creativity.

She folded it and placed it beside my pillow. Then, just as she was about to leave for Islamiyya this morning,

They love primary and rainbow colours because they are eye-catching and full of life.

This girl starts counting down to my birthday months in advance, even when I've forgotten it myself. She remembers everyone's birthdays; her mother's, mine, her sister's ans Adnanu's.

How do you expect an average Nigerian to be patriotic when those entrusted with leadership siphon the nation's resources at every opportunity?
