I had half my body weight in cool boulders going down most of these larger rappels…I can’t help it….they have crystallllll. View from the top is crazy! 1750 ft descent in 0.9 miles w 17 rappels, took 10.5 hours
We did everything we could. His condition was not recoverable- he was completely paralyzed from likely a stroke. I held him in my arms as he passed peacefully
Rest in Peace Zeytin, I will see you on the other side
I am grateful he got to see the world, adventured so so much. He would hike and climb for miles upon miles. He was so healthy and energetic and playful. He had a life full of love. It was so sudden. One can do everything right in life and still lose. He is my soul
Every datacenter has a meet me room. Every connection, every algorithm post, comment, every text you send, they all route thru there. It’s been this way since the 80s
Some of them like Verizon have taps in EVERY rack btw.
North wash, Utah, not far from where 127 hours happened.
There’s plenty of photogenic rappels, but the amount of canyons with DARK rappels, is less than 10, in the world
4 ppl in this photo. This was done as part of a 3 canyon loop, no name for one of them
@ArchTheFox Almost everyone who bought a house in the past 6 years is basically down under unfortunately. The only way i am seeing ppl can sell at a reasonable time frame without paying money at closing is to sell for nothing in ur pocket and have someone assume the mortgage
@ArchTheFox What I mean by hold, is that every person I know who owns 3-800 homes, is that they aren’t affected by market corrections bc they don’t plan to sell. A paid off house is easier to sell than not. When u move, refi via DSCR loan, so u have a rental property and don’t sell.
@ArchTheFox The unfortunate reality for home buying is that the market does have corrections every few years and agents do not acknowledge this. We had houses sell for higher than they were valued at bc interest rates were low. The biggest rule of thumb is that as long as u hold, u r good
