One of the best things to like in #PonniNadhi is the outro : where the female chorus and ARR harmonize so well - the female vocals go “aah aah aah” and ARR goes “oh oh oh” .. this is just done so effectively! 🙌
@pnamblat Yes exactly! Towards the end they all merge! Has there been any other Indian composer who has been so creative and brilliant in treating choral vocals like ARR has done? 🤩 (genuinely asking..) think ARR is just way beyond the rest in this aspect.
@ursmusically Off late ARR has been using a lot of template rhythm patterns which have been utterly boring - this album kinda forces him to use rhythm/groove in the most organic way. As MR once said, ARR has an impeccable sense of rhythm and I hope this album will see more of that vintage ARR!
@milliblog In all seriousness, wish for vintage ARR to do a track like that again. But that’s unfair on him. At the same time, dunno if there’s any other “pan-Indian” composer even now.
Does @tipsmusicsouth earn more money from YT than other platforms? are they holding out on purpose just so that their nascent channel will get popular just by forcing ppl to view the song on their YT channel only? 🤔 this delay is too much! #PonniNadhi#PonniyinSelvan
Yesterday, Ponniyin Selvan first song released, and it's officially known that Vairamuthu is not part of any song in a Mani Ratnam-Rahman film for the first time in 30 years.
Today, it is Andal's Aadi Pooram.
It may be a coincidence. But it's delicious.
