Yanks have a boat load of IFA money to spend, not sure if there’s a fit here, but it’s definitely a possibility. Can’t remember the last time they landed a Cuban prospect.
Cuban OF prospect 🇨🇺 Raider Sánchez has started on-field workouts and is already hitting against pitchers in the Dominican Republic.
He has shown massive raw power, launching home runs over 400 feet. More than 15 MLB teams are interested in the talented 19-year-old.
@BobbyMilone29@VirginiaYankee1 I’d be surprised if they opted for a Prep Arm, it’s not just coincidence that they haven’t taken one highly at all in the last several years
@LanceBroz Perhaps “develop” is a poor choice of words here. Still, my point stands that your method skews the data towards higher EVs. Obv the effect is magnified by my small sample, just trying to explain (clumsily) the difference between the two methods. I didn’t mean any disrespect.
@LanceBroz@TJStats@matthewk36711 It's going to bias the data towards high EV outliers in an organization, while allowing it to essentially ignore those with smaller EVs. It really does not capture how well an org develops this from a player-to-player level. Below is a basic vs of what this looks like on paper:
@RyanGarciaESM Unfortunately, McMahon really shouldn’t be getting starts anymore. He is a big negative on offense + he’s regressed as a fielder. Not sure what his role really looks like LT, but he’s entering DFA territory.
@BobbyMilone29 You’re solving a paper cut with a tourniquet. None of these teams are going to move their good offensive catchers w/ yrs of control. They need to find someone with decent enough career splits against lefties and can play Catcher competently.
